When we discovered Fuissé, it was love at first sight.
A village of stone and vines in Southern Burgundy, only a few minutes from Mâcon yet already somewhere else. Here, within the Pouilly-Fuissé appellation, old façades tell the story of a living countryside shaped by time, the vineyards and the seasons.
Maison Vitis naturally belongs to this story.
Before becoming a guesthouse, the building was a forge. Later, an architect gave it a new life by connecting the spaces, opening up the volumes and transforming the former workshop into a retreat filled with light and colour. We chose to continue that story rather than erase it.
Once known as Maison du Hérisson, today it is Maison Vitis: a place to experience differently, between wine discoveries and a gentler pace of life.
